Phase 4 — Job Ready
Weeks 11-12: AI-era skills, portfolio polish, and comprehensive interview preparation.
Overview
Welcome to Phase 4: Job Ready (Weeks 11–12). This is the final stretch where all your preparation converges into interview readiness, a standout developer portfolio, and cutting-edge AI-era differentiation.
In the modern software landscape, technical competence alone is not enough. You need to demonstrate architectural depth, fullstack execution, practical AI integration capabilities, and sharp algorithmic problem-solving under interview conditions.
Note: Run all 3 tracks in parallel throughout Weeks 11 and 12. Dedicate morning blocks to interview coding & system design, afternoons to portfolio and project deployment polish, and evenings to AI tool integration and mock interviews.
Parallel Tracks
| Track | Topic | Status |

| Track M | AI-Era Skills | 🤖 Market Edge |
| Track N | Projects & Portfolio | 🔄 Revisit + Polish |
| Track O | Interview Preparation | 📝 Prep |
Track Breakdown
Track M: AI-Era Skills (Market Differentiator)
- Tooling Mastery: Daily workflows using GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and modern LLM prompting techniques for rapid debugging, refactoring, and code review.
- Application Integration: Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI / Gemini) and Spring AI into backend systems. Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector embeddings (pgvector/Pinecone), and streaming responses (SSE).
- Engineering Judgment: Develop best practices around AI code hygiene, automated test generation, recognizing hallucinations, and knowing when to code by hand.
Track N: Projects & Portfolio Polish
- Project Refinement: Revisit
budget-setuand capstone repositories. Apply clean architecture, solid error handling, Dockerization, and reliable cloud deployments. - Portfolio Modernization: Build a high-performance Next.js + Tailwind CSS portfolio featuring live demo links, comprehensive architectural case studies, and optimized SEO.
- GitHub Hygiene: Craft professional repository READMEs with architectural diagrams, feature tours, tech stack badges, and reproducible local setup instructions.
- System Design Core: Master core architecture concepts — microservices trade-offs, API Gateways, load balancing, caching, database sharding, CAP theorem, and standard distributed system questions.
Track O: Interview Preparation
- ATS Resume: Build a high-impact, single-page resume with quantified metric achievements tailored to modern hiring stacks.
- DSA Mastery: Solidify 200–250 LeetCode problems (focusing on Blind 75 / NeetCode 150), verbalizing problem-solving logic under 25–30 minute constraints.
- Fullstack Interview Topics: In-depth revision of Java 8+ streams/lambdas, Collections internals, multithreading/concurrency, Spring Boot internals (IoC, AOP, Bean lifecycle, JPA N+1 problem, Security), and modern Frontend principles (React virtual DOM, closures, Next.js rendering models).
- Behavioral & Communication: Formulate crisp STAR-format stories for technical challenges, leadership moments, and project walkthroughs.
Weekly Execution Plan
Week 11: Production Polish & Deep Technical Revision
- Days 1–3: Implement Spring AI / LLM features into your capstone project; dockerize all services with
docker-compose. - Days 4–5: Deep-dive into Java concurrency, Spring Bean lifecycle, and React rendering internals for interview rounds.
- Days 6–7: Review system design patterns (URL shortener, rate limiter, notification service); run 2 mock DSA sessions.
Week 12: Behavioral Prep, Live Deployments & Application Sprint
- Days 8–9: Finalize ATS-compliant resume and portfolio website; deploy all live projects with custom domains.
- Days 10–11: Practice STAR behavioral stories, record elevator pitch, and prepare insightful reverse-interview questions.
- Days 12–14: Final LeetCode sprint, LinkedIn profile optimization, and active job application dispatch.
Phase 4 Completion Checklist
Before launching your full active application cycle, verify that all prerequisites below are checked off:
- Spring AI / LLM integration running live in a project demo.
- Portfolio live on Vercel with responsive design, case studies, and contact links.
- All featured GitHub repositories have clean READMEs with architecture diagrams and live links.
- 200+ DSA problems solved across major data structures and algorithmic patterns.
- 1-page ATS-formatted resume finalized and peer-reviewed.
- Confident in answering core Java, Spring Boot, React, and System Design interview questions.
- 3 compelling STAR behavioral interview stories prepared and practiced aloud.
